Monica Kelly Wood-Prince brings an invaluable perspective to the clients of Ribbeck Law because of her previous experience as in-house counsel for one of the world’s largest insurance companies – Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. There she represented local and international clients such as Northwest Airlines, UPS, IBM, Red Lobster, The Field Museum of Natural History, Evanston Hospital, McNeal Hospital, and CSX. That experience provides immeasurable insight to clients by enabling Ribbeck Law lawyers to understand the way insurance companies and corporations perceive claims before and after a catastrophic incident. Ms. Wood-Prince has the distinct advantage of having worked for both the plaintiffs and the defense. This provides invaluable knowledge of the inner workings of insurance companies which comes only after having worked for a large international corporation such as Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

Much has been written about Monica Kelly and her legal strategies. Her opponents, who are not on the side of the families but on the side of the big corporations, have used some tactics to try to stop her from pursuing the most aggressive representation of her clients. However, Ms. Wood-Prince will never stop representing to the best of her abilities the clients who have put their trust in her.

In more than a decade of working with Ribbeck Law, Monica Kelly has tirelessly championed the cause of her clients whether it be in court or in negotiating settlements which were substantially beneficial for the clients. Ms. Wood-Prince has relentlessly pursued every course of action possible to make sure that her clients receive the highest amount of compensation allowed by law. Ms. Wood-Prince has been involved in litigating cases against the big airline companies, aircraft manufacturers, and component part manufacturers. She has been involved in negotiating the claims of clients from all over the world dealing with multinational insurance and reinsurance companies. Ms. Wood-Prince understands the difficulties and challenges of bringing a case in American courts arising out of accidents outside the United States territory. Ms. Wood-Prince has extensive experience representing families who are not residents or citizens of the USA, who have lost loved ones in tragic accidents outside the USA, and against airlines that are not based in the USA. Her personal approach to each and every client’s claim ensures that her clients receive the utmost care and attention to their individual needs. Ms. Wood-Prince personally meets with each family and provides them with her personal cellular number as she wants to be available to her clients at all times. She visits her clients multiple times during the duration of the case in their native countries. Ms. Wood-Prince provides the families not only with legal advice in this horrific time, but she is also a very compassionate person who counsels the families on how to cope with the tragic incident as it relates to their day-to-day lives.
